10 Questions with Alpha Wolf & Dragon Bane

Q: Tell us about your childhood and growing up with your brother in a lucha libre family in Mexico
Alpha Wolf : “Growing up in a lucha family was amazing. We are all very close and have all made sacrifices for lucha libre. "
Dragon Bane : “I had a very cheerful childhood. It was a fun time and from an early age me and my brother were already training together.”
Q : Who was your favorite wrestler growing up besides your dad?
Alpha Wolf : “I've always admired the original Psicosis.”
Dragon Bane : “My favorite wrestler is Jeff Hardy, he's inspired me and my style.”
Q : What is your brother's best quality outside the ring?
Alpha Wolf : “His Honesty.”
Dragon Bane : “My brother is very respectful.”
Q : What is your brother's best quality/skill in the ring?
Alpha Wolf : “His aerial skills and he's very daring.”
Dragon Bane : “Alpha Wolf is strong and strategic.”
Q : What are the main differences between traditional lucha libre and the Japanese junior heavyweight style?
Alpha Wolf : “Lucha libre is spectacular and Japanese wrestling is what I consider to be 'strong style'.”
Dragon Bane : “Lucha Libre is freestyle and Japanese wrestling is much more regulated.”
Q : Tell us how you feel about the main eventing the mecca of Japanese combat sports, Korakuen Hall, this Saturday, with your brother, for the first time in your career? Alpha Wolf: “I
have some nerves but I'm so happy to share this moment with my brother in the ring.”
Dragon Bane : “I'm nervous and excited but I'm confident in my ability.”
Q : You both started wrestling for NOAH in 2019. Your first title match is now official against GHC JR HVT Tag Team Champions Tadasuke and YO-HEY. How important is this match to you both? Alpha Wolf : “It's a
very important title with We are ready.”
Dragon Bane : “It's important to me that at my young age I am competing for championships. I want to grow my popularity.”
Q : What are the strengths of your opponents YO-HEY and Tadasuke?
Alpha Wolf : “I think YO-HEY can be very strategic. We saw it when he joined GLG. Tadasuke has a lot of resistance and power.”
Dragon Bane : “I would say for YO-HEY his strength is his agility. Tadasuke is very strong for a junior heavyweight.”
Q : It's been 10 years since a Mexican team held the GHC JR HVT Tag Team Titles. That was Super Crazy & Ricky Marvin (Los Mexitosos) in 2013. What would it mean to you, your family and Mexico, if you can win the titles on Saturday?
Alpha Wolf : “This would be a big step up for us in our professional and personal lives.”
Dragon Bane : “Winning the titles would be an honor for me and my brother and it would be extra special to be doing it while representing our country.”
Q : Why should fans in Japan, Mexico and around the world tune in to Wrestle Universe to watch you go for gold on Saturday?
Alpha Wolf : “Everyone should watch because we are going to go with everything we have and we will give 100 percent to take those titles!”
Dragon Bane : “I guarantee that this will be an epic title match!”
