In the main event of WRESTLE ODYSSEY, Masa Kitamiya will challenge reigning champion KENTA for the GHC Heavyweight Championship, one of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s most prestigious titles. KENTA, who first made his name in NOAH before moving on to WWE and later New Japan Pro-Wrestling, made a highly anticipated return to NOAH in 2025. Kitamiya stunned fans with a sudden heel turn in August, reinventing himself as “The Chairman” in an all-black persona. Their showdown has quickly become one of the most talked-about matches in Japanese wrestling.
In the semi-final, the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship will be contested as New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Hiromu Takahashi defends against Eita. Widely regarded as one of Japan’s most renowned junior heavyweights, Hiromu brings his trademark unpredictability to the NOAH ring, while Eita looks to reclaim the title and restore pride to the division.
Legendary star Hiroshi Tanahashi (NJPW), who is set to retire on January 4, 2026, will also take part in this historic event. Teaming with Kaito Kiyomiya, Tanahashi will battle the formidable duo of Naomichi Marufuji & Kenoh in a high-profile tag team clash.
